            <title>Canonbury Society Summer Garden Party</title>
            <link>http://www.canonburysociety.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=66&amp;Itemid=54</link>
<description> The weather held out nicely for our annual summer garden party this year and the Ralston&amp;#39;s garden looked splendid. More than 100 guests were entertained by a wonderful string quartet who played throughout the afternoon while there was plenty for the children to do including bash a sweet-filled pinata until it gave up the goods! As usual, each guest was asked to provide a salad, main dish or desert and there was food and wine for everyone. It is always such a nice opportunity to mingle with neighbours and catch up on local gossip. This year&amp;#39;s theme was &amp;#39;re!cycling&amp;#39; and each guest brought home a re-usable shopping bag kindly donated by Islington Council. One inspired guest donned a hat made out of newspaper, which added a jaunty touch! Click on Read more to see some pictures from the day... </description>
