More than 100 guests were entertained by a wonderful string quartet who played throughout the afternoon while there was plenty for the children to do including bash a sweet-filled pinata until it gave up the goods! As usual, each guest was asked to provide a salad, main dish or desert and there was food and wine for everyone. It is always such a nice opportunity to mingle with neighbours and catch up on local gossip. This year's theme was 're!cycling' and each guest brought home a re-usable shopping bag kindly donated by Islington Council. One inspired guest donned a hat made out of newspaper, which added a jaunty touch! That could be as many as 250 additional people living in this small corner of Islington.
